Time to find Tinky Winky!

Po is a major character of the Slendytubbies series and one of its primary antagonists when infected.

Po was an experiment subject along with her friends — Tinky Winky, Dipsy, and Laa-Laa. She was tested in a futuristic house within a wild surface known as the Main Land and, just like her housemates, was not aware of her situation[2]. One day, Po ate a Tubby Custard together with her friends, but the custard eaten by Tinky Winky caused him to have an unusual behaviour at night. After becoming a monster, the latter slaughtered his friends one by one, including Po.

Physical Appearance

Po is similar to her counterpart from the Teletubbies series; she is a humanoid covered in red fur featuring a circle-shaped antenna on the top of her head. Her face, including the inside of her large ears, are depicted to have lighter skin compared to her friends'. After her death, her face seems to have been scratched on several sides, let alone the broken abdominal television screen. After being reborn, her face turned grey and her eyes went blank with blood flowing.

As an infected, Po is depicted as some kind of bug-like creature. Her eyes are now black with bright red pupils and a jaw ending in sharp teeth extends from her upper jaw. Her silhouette is taller and thinner, with two lean arms of human appearance, and two additional limbs that have developed at the shoulders to end in sharp blades.

In her second mutation, her head remains the same as her previous form, but her body grew considerably to include arachnid-like attributes, including four legs each ending in a blade-like spike. She still has two lean arms, and a cape-like structure grew from her shoulders to replace her two additional former limbs.

Personality

As seen in the original television series, Po is described as being quite shy, lovely and rather tomboyish. She often plays with a scooter, that she refers to as “Po cooter!”. She regards Tinky Winky as her best friend[3].

In Slendytubbies, Po displays a variable personality, depending purely on the player’s dialogue choices. For the most part, she appears to have a kind, caring, and helpful attitude, being eager to fix the Tubby Custard Machine as well as give her friends some custards. When Tinky Winky leaves the house at night, she does not hesitate to go in search of him, which supports her attachment. In case the player decides other dialogue options, Po may be unpleasant to her friends, particularly Laa-Laa.

Once infected, she does not seem to have any personality traits. She does show obedience to Noo-noo, as she follows his order and never try to attack him.

Appearances

Slendytubbies

Po makes a minor appearance in the very first game, where her lifeless body can be seen hanging from a tree near the Tubbytronic Superdome. Apart from being an aesthetic presence, she has no effect on the gameplay, but may appear on two Pop-ups. This role is kept for all her appearances in the following games.

Slendytubbies II

Po returns in Slendytubbies II as a tertiary antagonist. She became a mutant creature like her killer, Tinky Winky.

She can be encountered in Satellite Station. Like other threats, Po moves to the custard closest to the player and guards it until the player moves to another custard. At a certain radius that ignores obstacles, Po will scream and start chasing the player for the rest of the game. She will try to slice the protagonist with her blades if they stand beside her.

She also appears in the Training Maze alongside other creatures. In the Versus mode of this location, the host of the game plays as Po.

Slendytubbies 2D

Po makes a comeback in Slendytubbies 2D. She appears as the threat of Satellite Station, and one of the threats in Training Maze. Since Update V1.5, she also appears as Spider Po in Outskirts at dawn.

Like several other enemies, Po constantly stalks the player from the beginning of the game. Once she reaches a certain radius, she will scream and accelerate as long as the player remains close by. Like the previous game, she emits audible ticking sounds, alerting collectors of her presence. She walks at the same speed as the player. In the Training Maze, her running speed is identical to the player's, requiring the use of turns and walls to get away from her.

In her second mutation, Po behaves as in her previous form. However, her running speed is slightly faster than the player's, requiring them to turn around trees and rocks to escape her.

— Po, silent.

Po reappears in Slendytubbies III, in both Campaign and Multiplayer.

Campaign

Chapter 0 — “It Was Good”

Po is the only commendable character of the chapter. The game opens with a scene of Po looking out to the river from the beach in the Main Land, during the day. Noo-noo will approach her, speaking for a short time with the red teletubby until she's told to go home for lunch. Tinky Winky will run up to greet her. Once inside the house, Po can communicate with Dipsy — providing guidance to the former as Po must turn on the power to use the Tubby Custard Machine, breaking it in the process — after which she will have to grab the toolbox from the workbench to mend the machine. As soon as Po succeeds in the repairment, she serves custards to the others.

About ten hours later — during the late hours — Po will still be awake, watching Tinky Winky as he gets up to break the Custard Machine, thereby leaving the home. At this point, the protagonist will be offered the choice of “following him alone” or “waking the others up”. Once the decision has been selected, Po will pick up the Builder’s Torch from the workbench, then exit to look for Tinky Winky. If Dipsy and Laa-Laa were awaken, the latter would explore the land with Po.

Noticing her missing friend at the beach leads Po to approach him from behind — if the other two were woken up, Po would discover Laa-Laa’s lifeless remains. Tinky Winky will reveal his pale screaming face to Po, henceforward chasing her over a long distance before catching her at the base of the tree where she will be later found hanging.

Chapter 1 — “A New Day”

During the second half of Chapter 1, Po’s hanging corpse will eventually be discovered at the tree she was caught at, while The Guardian is in search of the Tubby Custards in the Main Land.

Chapter 3 — “Run Away”

Po first makes an appearance as a hallucination experienced by the Guardian after the latter crawled through the vents in order to recover a key-card, cheerfully telling the latter to play with her, Tinky Winky, and Laa-Laa.

If the Guardian refuses to join up with Noo-noo during their confrontation in the Outskirts, Po will be summoned by Noo-noo to eliminate the protagonist. A three-phase boss fight will initiate, with the same mechanics as the The Announcer’s battle. For the beginning of the conflict, Undead Po is going to combat the Guardian. She is capable of performing three attacks:

  • Swinging a punch at the player.
  • Smashing the ground, affecting a medium-sized area around her.
  • Summoning a trail of jagged rocks, which protrude from the ground in a straight line.
    • Once her health bar is just above two thirds full, she will rush to a specific spot before using this ability.

After going down to about two thirds of her hitpoints, Po will turn into her first monster form, with three new attack patterns:

  • Slashing her blades at the player.
  • Shooting out a dark red projectile at the player whilst screaming.
  • Summoning a trail of fire, that heads in a direct line.

At about a third of her health, Po will turn into a bigger monster. She is able to use a new set of abilities:

  • Stomping her front legs onto the player.
  • Casting a circle of fire that covers a certain area around her for a short amount of time, damaging anyone on contact.
  • Firing three flaming rock projectiles in a row at the player’s position.
  • As soon as Po goes down to sixth of her hitpoints, she will rush to a specific spot and shoot seven fireballs in a row.

If the Guardian dies to Po’s final phase, the “Bad Ending” will be achieved instead of restarting the battle. In contrast, if the former manages to defeat Po, the game will conclude shortly after the Military’s arrival, thus displaying the “Good Ending”.

If the Guardian decides to cooperate with Noo-noo instead, they will travel together to the Custard Facility. Po stands at the back under her first mutation. When spoken to, she will only reply with ticking noises. While having a final dialogue with Noo-noo, Po will walk to the Guardian’s back, and if the protagonist refuses to eat the offered Tubby Custard, Po will attack him, causing the latter to lose his legs and fall into the Custard Supply, ending up as an infected in the process — this results in the “Regretful Ending”.

Multiplayer

In the Collect and Versus modes, Po appears under her first mutation in Satellite Station, under her second mutation in Outskirts during the day only, and under her pre-mutation in Secret Center (Remastered).

Like other enemies, Po moves to the custard that is nearest to the player and patrols around until the player moves to another custard. She notices the player either by the latter being in her field of vision, or by close proximity. Po will scream and start chasing the player until a certain distance separates them. She will try to hit the protagonist if they stand beside her, killing every player within range.

Po can be a considerable threat in every of her forms: her two first forms have slow attacks, compensated by the cramped nature of the environment, whereas her second mutation has a faster attack with higher range, but can be outran thanks to the spacious nature of the location.

Po appears in Survival mode as the boss of the respective locations where she appears in the Collect and Versus modes. She can use the special ability “Fireball” in every forms, “Fire Beam” under her first phase, “Fire Blast” under her two other forms, and a third “Dark Smash” in her pre-mutation.

For more detailed information, see her Survival profile.

Po also appears in Sandbox mode as an available enemy or ally, and a playable character.

Slendytubbies: Worlds

In the Collect and Versus modes, Po appears as the danger in the Satellite Station. Like other enemies, she guards nearby custards and notices the player either by the latter being in her field of vision, or by close proximity. She will scream and start chasing the player for a random period of time ranging from a few seconds to about a minute, then teleport to a random custard after giving up the chase, or killing a player.

Po may also appear in Open World mode when the player is exploring the Satellite Station. She moves towards one player and has the ability to teleport to a nearby location. She will execute a physical attack when close, and can use a fire-based special ability when distant. She disappears after some time.

Po also appears in Sandbox mode as an available enemy, ally, and a playable character.
